Blather Consulting’s Dave Walsh is a writer, photographer, media officer and Internet expert, skilled in developing and promoting emotive and evocative campaigns, often from within difficult and remote environments. Having spent since 1995 in the Internet business, Dave provides consultation services to several organisations, as a blogger, press officer, media producer, photographer, social media technologies and search engine optimisation.

Notably, Dave has worked with Greenpeace International on projects since 2004, as both a shipboard web editor and press officer, on expeditions everywhere from the icebergs of the Southern Ocean to the glaciers of Greenland, and experienced the heat of West Africa in between. These Greenpeace projects have included campaigns to stop Antarctic whaling, deforestation in Finland, destructive fishing in the Tasman Sea, North Atlantic, and in the waters off West Africa, and more recently, raise awareness and understanding of the implications and effects of climate change in the Arctic

In 2009, Dave’s photograph “Solar Power Vs. Fossil Fuel” was highly commended at the Environmental Photographer of the Year awards in London. He is editor of the popular satirical website blather.net, and the author of Two Books, Haunted Dublin and A Load of Blather, both published in 2008.
