Walsh is a seasoned, multi-disciplined media officer, journalist, Internet publisher and photographer, comfortable liaising with local stakeholders, logistics teams and international media outlets. Walsh is used to hitting the ground running in intense, remote environments, to ensure that quality information reaches key media worldwide.

Case Study: Expedition Media officer & web editor
Greenpeace International Arctic expedition to Greenland and Svalbard (Norway), June-September 2009
Three-month expedition to the high arctic, working with scientists to study the effects of climate change on Greenland’s ice cap and the Arctic Sea Ice, in the lead-up to the December 2009 Copenhagen Climate Summit.
Role: Coordinating all media issues on board icebreaker Arctic Sunrise from Greenland and the Arctic, via satellite systems; handling media inquiries, writing of press releases and web stories, management of media team, producer of text and video output, briefing visiting media (CNN, AP, Guardian, Economist, India Today, Al Jazeera, Liberation, TF1 and others), and overseeing live broadcasts from to 20 Australian cinemas simultaneously.
